The Staff Scientist II / Biosafety Officer will support hospital, life sciences, and education/commercial clients. This position is responsible for biosafety/laboratory safety projects and will educate, train, and provide support to operations in the development and execution of consistent safety and environmental management programs. May be responsible for mentoring junior staff members and client development when appropriate.
The Staff Scientist I / Associate Biosafety Officer will work with our biotechnology and research laboratory clients throughout New England. They will participate in biosafety/laboratory safety projects and deliver EH&E’s biosafety and laboratory safety solutions as a Project Manager. Responsibilities include educating, training, and providing support to operations in the development and execution of consistent safety and environmental management programs.
The Technical Specialist II will operate in facilities ranging from professional research laboratories to biopharmaceutical companies. This position is responsible for the performance and monitoring of all lab safety equipment, PPE fit-testing, clean-up of hazardous spills and lab safety training according to federal, state, local government and company guidelines.
The Technical Specialist I will operate in a professional research laboratory and biopharmaceutical companies. Familiarity with EH&S activities including industrial hygiene/indoor environmental quality air monitoring, laboratory inspection, fit testing, chemical/biological hazardous waste management, permitting, and performing risk assessments is highly desired. This position is responsible for the performance and monitoring of all lab safety equipment, PPE fit-testing, clean-up of hazardous spills and making sure databases are updated and maintained.
The Team Leader – Commissioning will serve as second in command to the Managing Principal Consultant to manage the day-to-day operations of the Commissioning Team. This position is responsible for the creation of reports and site-specific documentation, managing the execution of projects and working to identify all project risks and the development of mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments to ensure code compliance as well being responsible for safety training and ensuring all relevant materials are written and updated in relation to EH&S standards.

As a representative of EH&E’s Healthcare team, a Technical Specialist will operate primarily in hospitals and healthcare facilities. No previous experience in a healthcare setting is required. Primary responsibility will be performing environmental monitoring within various healthcare facilities (training will be provided), as well as preparing media and equipment for sampling, routine maintenance of equipment, ordering supplies, submitting samples to and coordination with the laboratory.
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will assist the EH&E client team in maintaining the EH&S program for a Boston area hospital. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards related to the environment, equipment, and processes in working and patient care areas.
