EH&E and Brown University to Present on Energy Optimization in Labs at the I2SL Conference 2017
Energy Optimization in Labs: Brown University’s Approach Prioritizes Safety
October 17, 2017
To help achieve their aggressive carbon reduction goals – 42% by 2020 – Brown University partnered with EH&E on a campus-wide laboratory energy optimization program. To ensure safety in the labs, control banding was conducted for each lab to assess risk and align ventilation controls with lab hazards. The control banding risk evaluation process will be a focus of this presentation. Additionally the presenters will discuss key components of implementation and the strategy used to achieve energy savings while prioritizing safety in the labs.
