A senior consultant with EH&E’s Healthcare Group, Will brings a deep and practical understanding of hospital safety and environmental compliance, rooted in experience serving as a safety officer for hospitals. His specialty lies in Joint Commission Accreditation readiness, with a strong emphasis on Fire and Life Safety and the Environment of Care (EC).
Having directly managed these programs on behalf of hospitals, Will has firsthand knowledge of the day-to-day challenges faced by EH&E’s clients and his insight allows him to bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and real-world hospital operations. His primary focus is healthcare accreditation compliance and survey readiness as well as state and federal environmental compliance gap assessments.
Well-functioning programs can fall behind as regulations evolve, so Will’s broad experience and ongoing familiarity with changing standards help clients recognize gaps they may not have identified on their own. Will’s health and environmental safety expertise plays a crucial role in helping organizations quickly identify and prioritize compliance gaps in their programs. Whether it’s restructuring a program or supporting ongoing readiness, Will ensures clients are prepared, compliant, and confident heading into any accreditation survey.
Not all organizations have the bandwidth or resources to identify or troubleshoot every compliance problem they come across. Will can operationalize creative, realistic solutions when identifying and addressing compliance gaps in programs. Solutions are tailored to the unique constraints and capacities of each hospital. Will’s approach centers on quickly diagnosing gaps and offering multiple, practical solutions that fit the client’s environment, which contributes to client satisfaction and long-term program success.
Will’s experience extends beyond Life Safety and EC to other critical areas such as hazardous materials and waste management. His leadership in managing safety, hazardous materials, and waste management programs has been instrumental in ensuring compliance and preparing clients for accreditation surveys and agency visits.
Will has taken on Tier II, Source Registration, Restricted Emission Status Submissions and Greenhouse Gas Submissions for several EH&E healthcare clients. He also conducts Joint Commission Mock Surveys and document reviews at several EH&E client sites and is responsible for providing a detailed technical report of findings.
